I was really looking forward to this year. Especially because of all the interesting things we did last year. I now confirm that this year will be AWESOME because of the writing I have already heard in the first 7 days I have been in Mr. Loosveldt's class. This class is an amazing place for aspiring writers to be free & let out what they feel in their writing. I have from the quick writes. I feel that this year will be amazing!!

Hey, Mr. L!! What's up? It's been while. I'm glad to see you are keeping the blog up. I was afraid you wouldn't. It's so great in high school, but I seriously miss middle school. Someday, after school, a bunch of us are totally gonna visit you. Just like old times, huh?

But to new students, Mr. L is one of the best teachers in the world! Don't take him for granted at all because once you really begin to appreciate him, bam! The school year is over. Mr. L is one of those teachers that you'll tell your kids about someday... "Oh, back in 8th grade I had the coolest English teacher ever". Don't be intimidated by his sometimes eagerness to teach and how excited he can get, though.

Like, there was this one time in the poetry unit where he read an Ode to a fake apple being held up by one of the students. The Ode was about a watermelon and the fake apple was the only thing in the room that looked like a watermelon.
So, have a good time. And see you later, Mr. L.
Carpia Diem.

Mr. L,
Well, you already know me, but I'll give you a hint anyway. It's your favorite-est student in the whole wide world! Just kidding. It's me, Rose. Just wanted to POP! by and see how the new kiddies are doing. High school is treating me reasonably well, despite the homework load that we have. And in English, we're learning GRAMMAR. The nerve! Lordy, I'd rather have middle school English than this boring crap. So anyway. I might be dropping by after school one day just to chat sometime, so if you'd tell me a day that's good for you, then that would be fantastic.

The one and only,

It's been almost a month since school's been out, but I still miss it all. I had a great time in your class, Mr.L, you were one of my favorite teachers. You're a great teacher, and I learned a lot in your class, but we had fun, too. I'll miss you in high school!

Hey, Mr. L! Never have I been sooooo sad to see one year pass me by. One of my relatives that I saw this weekend asked me how many days were left of school. When I responded that there were only 5, she said "Not that anyone's counting, though, right?" And you know what I realized? I was counting. I was counting the days until I leave my security. I mean, we all complain about this school, enumerating all of it's faults, pointing out all the downs. This going out to all my class mates: When it comes down to it, won't you miss it too? Won't you miss the freedom we enjoy here? Won't you look back here one day and miss it, just like you miss elementary school? Mr. L, won't you continue on the blog, for us older students? So we can come back and comment still? Good bye, and thanks for an awsome year!
